@kaia Just install Parabola GNU/Linux-libre; https://www.parabola.nu/
It at least respects your freedom and has an installer too.

Bootstrapping Void with Linux-libre manually configured and compiled would give far less work than dealing with the broken ISOs that Parabola has, plus a better package manager.

@sally @kaia Void isn't free software written to serve the users and so there are other proprietary problems than Linux.
Yes, there are some more convenient distros that are not Arch; https://www.gnu.org/distros/free-distros.en.html

@kaia I know I am a couple hours late, but pretty sure the `archinstall' script comes with all official live-media now. Which does most if not all the "heavy lifting" of the process. You pretty much just have to boot the live-media, make sure you have network, and then run `archinstall` following the prompts.

If you would like to go full GUI install EndeavourOS is just Arch with a extra repo that you can "convert" to Arch after install by removing the extra repo and its packages (or keep then as they are quite nice on most cases). As it just uses arch mirrors for its packages unlike Manjoro and other distros who use custom mirrors.

Either way hope this helps, if not you can just ignore and move on.

Excluding the kernel, everything else is free by default, they do provide a nonfree repository but you must enable it, much like with Debian or Gentoo.

But they don't have a policy of being free and removing any proprietary software once found, meaning there will be proprietary software by default and more will be added over time.
>much like with Debian or Gentoo.
Debian installs proprietary software without asking now.
Gentoo puts proprietary licenses in "@FREE" and many packages have incorrect LICENSE's.
