@sun I misread Armbian as Arabian
@ElDeadKennedy @sun is that a lesbian with an arm?
@sun how many cores?
Compare to what ?
@sun Does it have the vector extensions? Is it the same chinesium chip as the one with the blown-open arbitrary code exploit?
@idiot I don't know
@sun current gen RISC-V is actually pretty decent. But the gaps in performance year by year are enormous. Anything older than 2023 is going to feel like molasses. 2022 and older is going to be practically unusable.
@idiot @sun Per https://docs.banana-pi.org/en/BPI-F3/SpacemiT_K1 per https://wiki.banana-pi.org/Banana_Pi_BPI-F3 it has a CPU with a proper vector extension that's been part of the RISC-V standard system since 2021, vs. the sketchy third party one that that finest example of Chinesism CPU has a catastrophic "writes to physical instead of virtual memory" error.
@sun curious
what's their utilization like?
what's their utilization like?
@jeffcliff I'm currently compiling erlang and elixir on it
@sun -j16 ?
@jeffcliff its already using every core
