Okay #Gentoo gentoo people, I have been able to troubleshoot and work my way through things as needed. Though I am just stuck with this one. I want to install the binary of Firefox firefox like so: "sudo emerge --ask --changed-use -G www-client/firefox"

I then get hit with the following issue:

"- www-client/firefox-115.10.0::gentoo (masked by: use flag configuration mismatch)"

All I want to know what use flags are missmatched.

Hmmm never mind it seems it also wants to install wayland. Which I really don't want. So it looks like I might have to compile it to avoid that.

@hund Thanks! I guess thats what I get for not searching for Firefox packages in emerge ablobsweats

@rain @hund firefox-bin is a repackaging of Mozilla's binaries and thus compiled with full LTO/PGO. It's measurably faster than a local build of Firefox and you don't need to spend the time to build it either (which is much shorter than the competition but still significant)

@gabrielesvelto @hund Thanks for the tip as I also grabbed `thunderbird-bin`
