@Moon This is more common than you think. A lot of people are allergic to different fruits and never realize it.

I noticed some fruits with peppery taste have same reactions as to pepper, but that’s an uncommon one. I was talking to someone about it once and they were shocked I guessed their allergy to mango. That said lots of chains/therefore overlap in that fruit. BTW peppercorns are vine berries.
