Also not getting imprisoned for your religion (although that last one is kinda iffy since I'm sure it's happened already in smaller cases).
Also there aren't other massively more powerful countries willing and able to conquer your tiny peaceful bit of European or Asian land (my heart goes to Ukraine).
Most of this can change drastically very easily, very quickly, but America isn't total garbage, at least not yet.
