but i use the terminal every day for things that don't have a good gui or ssh to servers

@davidak Yeah GUI makes things easier to find out what you can do. But if you are familiar with a CLI tool you can be way faster than most GUIs at doing things (the exception being probably tasks that require a lot of precision like image/movie editing)
